Christmas tradition continues

In 2021, we will continue our tradition: We let trees live and prefer to invest the Christmas card budget in projects that do good on our doorstep and in the world.

This time, it is especially close to our hearts to help with these two campaigns:

  • We support the reconstruction of an inclusion daycare center in Bad Münstereifel, Germany
In July 2021, the creek Erft turned into a raging river and flooded large parts of Bad Münstereifel. Among many other buildings, the "Magic 12", a daycare center for inclusion, was almost completely destroyed by the water masses. With our donation, we want to contribute to the necessary core renovation and thus ensure that the 75 children will soon again have a place to feel comfortable, play, try things out, participate and gather experiences.

  • We send CARE packages against Corona in crisis areas and the poorest countries worldwide
While here in Germany we mainly complain about the current restrictions in daily life, hardly anyone thinks about the effects of the epidemic in countries where there have been social, economic and health problems for years. How will people there fare if they lose their jobs and get no help from the state? What are they to do when they have no access to testing and medical care, no financial bailouts, no shelter or enough to eat, not even soap or even enough water to wash their hands? The aid organization CARE is mobilizing all its forces worldwide to prevent the worst from happening and to protect as many people as possible in the poorest regions of the world from contracting COVID-19. We can only support this.

We wish you all harmonious and happy holidays with your loved ones. Start the new year healthy and cheerful, which will be a very special one for GLOBALNORM. But more about that another time...
