Communiqué on import controls for CE marked products

The Turkish Ministry of Economy has published a new Communiqué 2020/9 on import controls for CE marked products. The communiqué sets out procedures and principles for risk-based import controls in foreign trade (TAREKS). Products listed in Annex 2 must in all cases comply with all relevant legislation listed in Annex 1 (including legislation providing for CE marking). The communiqué entered into force on 1 January 2020 and replaces communiqué 2019/9. The text of the law is available in Turkish at www.resmigazete.gov.tr/eskiler/2019/12/20191227M1-8.htm .
