Amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1863 concerning the withdrawal of references of harmonised standards for machinery

Extension of deadlines for standards users

On 7th November 2019, the EU Commission published the Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1863 amending and correcting the Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/436 concerning the withdrawal of references of harmonised standards for machinery from the Official Journal of the European Union.

The Commission by Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/436 withdrew references of several harmonised standards from the Official Journal of the European Union as of 19 March 2019. In order to give manufacturers more time to prepare for application of the new standards, the revised standards and amendments to standards whose references were published by the implementing Decision (EU) 2019/436, it was necessary to extend the dates of withdrawal of references of several standards that were withdrawn by that Decision.

Annex III was amended accordingly and the presumption of conformity periods were extended.
