The EC Machinery Directive 98/37/EC require a risk assesment to be carried out in accordance with Annex I of the Directive. The European Harmonised Standard EN 1050 (soon to be EN ISO 14121) provides guidance as to how to do that. Our network partner IBF has developed a very useful software to perform risk assessments: Safexpert.
